EUCLID, Ohio — The Euclid Police Department has a new set of wheels.
On Friday, the Department debuted its new Ford F-150 that is now apart of its accident investigation unit.
The force shared the news in a Facebook post saying, "it provides safety features to help protect police officers, accident victims and drivers moving around the accident scene."
The new F-150 was decked out by the folks at Euclid City Mechanics to ensure it was suitable for police work.
The new truck will allow officers the following advantages, according to the Department:
- The large truck is more visible on the roadway.
- Additional lighting on all sides brings attention to the vehicle and accident area.
- Large storage provides ample capacity for numerous pieces of accident equipment.
- A larger passenger area provides a safe place for car accident victims to sit so that they do not have to wait on the roadside.
