A red Subaru SUV was traveling west on US 322 at a high rate of speed when crashed into the rear of a black Kia minivan traveling in the same direction on US 322. The red Subaru overturned as a result and struck two motorcyclists that were traveling eastbound on US 322.

The Subaru then struck a Buick traveling behind the motorcyclists before coming to a rest at the intersection.

The driver of the red Subaru suffered life threatening injuries and was flown to University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland. One of the two motorcyclists suffered a fatal injury and was pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The second motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to UH Geauga.

The Kia minivan driver suffered minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene. The driver of the Buick suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UH Geauga.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash but have not been ruled out at this time.
