Endangered Missing Child Advisory canceled after officials find 12-year-old Lorain boy

LORAIN, Ohio — Update: July 29, 12:10 p.m.

The boy has been found and is safe according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Authorities are asking for the public's help with information regarding a missing 12-year-old boy from Lorain, which triggered a Regional Endangered Missing Child Advisory from the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Authorities say Austin Lauer was last seen in Lorain on July 17 around 6:30 p.m. wearing a red and blue or red and black striped shirt with khaki pants. 

Officials stated that Austin has autism and does not have his medications with him. 

Austin is described as standing 5'5" tall and weighs 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Anyone with any information on Austin's location is encouraged to contact the Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2100.

While officials stress this is not an Amber Alert, Austin is "believed to be in danger." The following Ohio counties are affected by the advisory:
