First Federal Savings and Loan of Lorain robbed Wednesday afternoon

The male suspect entered the First Federal Savings and Loan of Lorain at approximately 1:13 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon armed with a weapon.

LORAIN, Ohio — The FBI Violent Crime Task Force (VCTF) and Lorain Police Department are looking for the public's help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.

The male suspect entered the First Federal Savings and Loan of Lorain on East 442nd Street at approximately 1:13 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon armed with a weapon.

The bank was able to provide these details about the suspect:

  • White or Hispanic male
  • Approximately 5'9" tall
  • Wearing a large fake beard
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat

The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It is believed he headed eastbound when he exited the property.

The FBI VCTF, Lorain Police Department, and First Federal Savings of Lorain ask that anyone with information leading to the capture of the suspect call the FBI tip line at 1-877-FBI-OHIO or Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2105. 

A reward may be available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the subject.
