ELYRIA, Ohio — The Keystone junior varsity basketball coach is now in police custody after being accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a juvenile.
23-year-old Antonio Blanton of Elyria has been charged with sexual battery.
On Wednesday, February 23, Elyria Police received a reported detailing Blanton's alleged inappropriate actions. After receiving the report, the Detective Bureau was assigned to the case and began an investigation.

As a result of the investigation, detectives arrested and charged Blanton with sexual battery, a third degree felony. He was transported to the Lorain County Jail, where he is being held on bond pending his initial court appearance.
During the investigation, police learned of Blanton's employment with the Keystone School District. In addition to his coaching duties, he also serves as a substitute teacher with Keystone local schools.
The alleged victim attends Keystone local schools.
