LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash in Lorain County.
OSHP officials say they received a call on Tuesday morning, at around 10:52 a.m., that a vehicle had crashed into a house on Lakeview Drive in Carlisle Township.
Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered that a 2002 GMC Sierra 3500 was traveling westbound and went off the right side of the road, striking a home.
The driver, 50-year-old Erik Traxler of Grafton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The residents of the home were not inside when the crash happened.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Carlisle Township Fire Department, Eaton Township Fire Department, Lorain County Sheriffs Department, Life Care EMS, Lorain County Coroners Office, Great Lakes Transport and Patton’s 5 Star Towing.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation and the extent of structural damage to the residence is unknown.
