BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio — A child is hospitalized with "severe injuries" after falling from an apartment window in Bedford Heights.
According to Bedford Heights police, emergency crews responded to a call from a woman stating her child fell out of a seventh floor window at the Trinity Towers on 25000 Rockside Road at about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
The child is a 4-year-old boy. Police say he sustained "severe injuries to his arms and legs" as a result of the fall.
Police report that the boy's mother was not home at the time of the incident and are looking into possible criminal charges against her. A 10-year-old sibling was present in the apartment when the boy fell.
The incident remains under investigation.
