BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Brunswick Middle School was evacuated Friday morning after authorities say there was a bomb threat. The building has been closed for the rest of the day as school officials say all students and staff have been accounted for.
The district tweeted about the situation at 9:25 a.m. Friday with the following message: “BMS received a bomb threat this morning. Police were notified immediately & are investigating. All students and staff have been evacuated & accounted for. BMS will be closed for the rest of the day. Info about student bus transportation and pick-up will be communicated ASAP."
Lt. Robert Safran of the Brunswick Division of Police tells 3News that officers were still on scene at the middle school as of 9:45 a.m.
