MEDINA, Ohio — For almost ten years, Michele Bolinger has been on a dual mission: rescuing horses and supporting veterans. Combining the two together, She owns and operates Forever Amber Acres in Medina.
The non-profit organization rescues horses, providing them with healthcare and a loving home. They also support veterans, allowing them to bond and cope with their own issues with the support of the rescued horses.
Forever Amber Acres is a completely volunteer-run and donation-based organization, so they’re always in need of a helping hand. Volunteers don’t need any experience; Bolinger and her team offer on-site training to anyone interested in supporting their mission.
On Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, you can help to support Forever Amber Acres by donating to their virtual Veterans Day fundraiser. It’s taking place on their Facebook page, and will feature live demonstrations, resources, testimonies from program participants and more!
The goal of the fundraiser is to of course raise money, but it’s also to inform veterans and first responders that support is out there and to get more people involved.
Forever Amber Acres is located at 1133 Granger Road in Medina. For more information on the organization, the resources they offer and how to support them, click HERE.
