CLEVELAND — Missing Burger Week? You won’t be hungry for too long. The inaugural Cleveland Taco Week debuts today.
The event sponsored by Cleveland Scene features a $2 taco tour with options from more than a dozen of Cleveland's most popular taco joints.
Cleveland Taco Week takes place September 28 to October 4. As with Burger Week, each restaurant will highlight one or two of their most unique creations.
To be a good Taco Week customer, you have to obey the commandments.
For starters, there is a minimum order of three tacos per stop. Also keep in mind that because the restaurants participating are some of the best in the area, your choice could run out if you delay.
Cleveland Scene also recommends supplementing your very inexpensive meal with drinks and other foods, to support the establishments you're visiting.
And keep in mind, while you're getting a great deal on these tacos, the servers preparing your meal are still doing the same amount of work, so it's a great idea to tip as if you're paying full price.
Passports listing participating restaurants are available now at clevelandtacoweek.com, and at stops on the taco tour.
Restaurants on the passport include the following:
- 49 Street Tavern
- Academy Tavern on Larchmere
- Balance Pan-Asian Grille
