Kent police: Man wanted in deadly November shooting, reward offered

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kent Police Department or the US Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED.

KENT, Ohio — The Kent Police Department and the U.S. Marshal's Office are offering a reward for tips leading to the capture of a man accused of killing a woman in November.

The shooting happened on Nov. 21, in the 1300 block of South Water Street in Kent. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 35-year-old woman who had been fatally shot. 

Following the shooting, police identified 44-year-old Dawan R. Wilson as a suspect. Investigators believe that Wilson, who had a domestic relationship with the victim, traveled to Kent from his home in Goodyear, Arizona. Wilson is currently wanted for aggravated murder.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kent Police Department or the U.S. Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED. 

Additionally, tips can be submitted HERE. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering up to $1,500 for information that leads to the capture of Wilson.
