According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. near the area of Tallmadge Road and New Milford Road. Troopers say that a Rootstown school bus was stopped in the northbound lane of New Milford Road, south of the intersection of Tallmadge Road.

A red Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Dusty Waterhouse, was heading south on New Milford Road. The truck went left of center, forcing the bus to steer to the right to avoid being struck. But the truck sideswiped the bus, then went off of the east side of the roadway before striking a mailbox.

No one was injured in the crash.

While questioning Waterhouse, troopers saw "indicators of impairment." Waterhouse was arrested for OVI and was also charged with traveling left of center.

Troopers add that the school bus was not letting off students at the time of the crash. The bus suffered "minor visible damage."
