ATWATER, Ohio — We have an update on the story about Portage County neighbors who were at odds after video showed a woman appearing to threaten and then fire shots next door at a man who was deer hunting.

Court records previously showed that Luanne Headley was facing charges of aggravated menacing and prevention of hunting by creating noise prohibited in Portage County Municipal Court.

3News has now learned that Headley pleaded no contest to the prevention of hunting by creating noise prohibited. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with all 30 days suspended as long as she does not commit any crimes in the next two years.

Additionally, she was fined $250, with $100 being suspended as long as she does not commit any crimes in the next two years.

According to the complaint, Headley is accused of "knowingly firing a weapon in the direction" of her neighbor "while he was hunting a neighboring property," adding that the neighbor "felt like Luanne was shooting at him and felt in fear for his safety."

She is also charged with "knowingly interfering" with her neighbor's "ability to hunt deer by yelling in a megaphone and firing a weapon is his direction."

Headley was arraigned in June and pleaded not guilty. A pretrial hearing for Headley is scheduled for Thursday.

We first reported on this story in December, when Richard Page went hunting on his own Atwater Township land of five acres. Cellphone video captured the entire incident, with a woman who sits behind his property heard yelling, "I will be a hunter's nightmare!"

"She was not on her property even," Page recalled, telling Esparra that the woman's name was Luanne. "She was on the neighboring farm's property."

That's when Page says he became the hunted.

"I have nothing else to do with my time," the neighbor yells in the video. "So good luck with that!"

And then a gunshot — the woman can be seen in the orange safety vest raising a pistol in the air and firing.

"She's got, obviously, strong feelings about it," Page told Esparra, "but that doesn't give her the right to come out and harass people that are out and enjoying themselves."

After firing the bullet, Luanne is heard telling Page, "F--- you and your hunting. Get the f--- out of here." He tells us he then ran for his life as she shot at him, even leaving behind his own vest. However, he recorded it all so he could report it to police.

A week later, Page told Esparra that he and his wife filed a temporary restraining order against Headley, adding that they have been dealing with harassment from the neighbor for 20 years.
