The FBI and a local bank are working to bring an unidentified suspect to justice after a robbery that occurred in Shaker Heights earlier this month.
According to Special Agent Vicki Anderson of the FBI, PNC Bank is currently offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who officials say stole an undisclosed amount of money during a robbery.
The FBI says the man walked into the Shaker Heights branch of PNC around 3:15 p.m. on March 3, leapt over the teller counter, and yelled "give me the money, put the money in the bag, no funny money and no playing" at a teller.
The teller complied with the man and placed the money into a white Save-a-Lot bag that the man had thrown at them.
The man also turned to a second teller and demanded that they empty their drawer, as well. The second teller also complied and added the funds to the white grocery bag. The man also had the first teller retrieve money from a third tellers drawer.
Stealing the bag out of the teller's hand, the man leapt back over the counter and yelled "do not follow me" to the three PNC employees.
The suspect is identified as a Black male with the back of his head shaved, 5'6, roughly 200-250 pounds, with no visible tattoos or piercings. Witnesses estimate that he is in his late 40's to early 50's.
Cameras from inside the bank show the man wearing a black and blue heavy jacket, dark blue/black pants, a black face mask, and dark-coloured tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect captured in these photos is urged to call the Cleveland Division of the FBI at 1-877-FBI-OHIO or the Shaker Heights Police at 216-491-1220. Tips can remain anonymous.
