CLEVELAND — An 80-year-old Massillon man is dead after a car crash on State Route 43 in Canton Township on Thursday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Troopers say the crash happened around 9:24 a.m. Thursday on SR 43 at Ed-Stein Drive Southeast.
According to the OSHP, 80-year-old John Dvorovy was driving a 2021 Lincoln MKZ and turning northbound onto SR43 when his car was struck by a southbound 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Malvern resident Korina Green.
Canton Township firefighters transported Dvorovy to Aultman Hospital in Canton with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead later on Thursday afternoon.
Green, 36, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
OSHP troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
