MASSILLON, Ohio — Chick-fil-A is set to open the doors of its newest restaurant in Massillon on Thursday.
The restaurant, located at 2280 Lincoln Way E, becomes Chick-fil-A's 23rd location in Northeast Ohio. Chick-fil-A Massillon will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
As part of the opening celebration, Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to Feeding America to support the hunger relief efforts of Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, which is a certified member of Feeding America. Also, Chick-fil-A Massillon is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Chick-fil-A Massillon will be owned and operated by Dave Guerdan, a former U.S. Army Major who spent the last five years working at several Chick-fil-A restaurants across the nation before being selected as the owner of the new Massillon location.
"I’ve always dreamed of owning my own business, and I’m extremely honored to be a part of bringing the first Chick-fil-A to Massillon,” said Guerdan in a statement. “I am grateful to have been welcomed into this community with such excitement, and I’m looking forward to creating an environment where my restaurant can positively influence the next generation in Massillon, from our Team Members to our guests and the community.”
In addition, Guerdan's restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
