MACEDONIA, Ohio — Firefighters from the Macedonia Fire Department battled a garage fire that spread into an attached home on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 5:19 a.m., fire crews responded to a single-family home on the 8300 block of Valley View Road for reporters of a garage fire. When firefighters arrived to the scene, they spoke to the homeowner who said everyone was safely out of the house.
Just after crews began extinguishing efforts, the roof of the garage collapsed causing the fire to spread into the home. The fire caused part of the front room's ceiling and roof to collapse
A total of 18 firefighters assisted in extinguishing the fire. No injuries were reported from any of the residents or firefighters.
The incident remains under investigation.
