SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from a previously published, unrelated story.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Summit County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Jeffrey J. Peasley in connection to a Sunday night murder that occurred in Green.
The shooting took place on October 10 on Raber Road when police were called to the scene for reports of a shooting. Summit County officials arrived and found the victim, a 45-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Immediately following the shooting, an arrest warrant was issued for Peasley.
Police say Peasley, who is from Navarre, was located around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12. The man was operating a stolen vehicle in Niles when officers attempted to stop him and he crashed. A K9 unit assisted in the capture of the man and he was taken to the Summit County Jail.
Officials did not say whether charges have been filed at this time.
