EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — An investigation is underway in East Cleveland following the shooting death of a female victim late Tuesday night.
Around 11:24 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Northfield Avenue, where the woman was unconscious after suffering a gunshot wound. East Cleveland EMS crews attempted to revive her and rushed her to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, but she died there from her injuries.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has since identified the woman as Chanika Clark, of Maple Heights. She was 32 years old.
East Cleveland homicide detectives are investigating the incident and have identified a man they call a "person of interest" named John Jordon III. You can view his photo in the post below.
Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for the apprehension and conviction of those responsible for Clark's death.
