CLEVELAND — A Northeast Ohio lottery player got quite the return on their $20 investment after playing the Ohio Lottery's Platinum Diamond Spectacular scratch-off game in a Lake County grocery store.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the player won the top prize worth $2 million after buying a ticket at Marc's on Chardon Road in Wickliffe.
Lottery officials said the winner decided to take the cash option of $1,000,000. They'll take home an estimated $720,000 after state and federal taxes.
