CHARDON, Ohio — One very lucky lottery player from Chardon has just won a prize worth $1 million on a scratch-off ticket.
The Ohio Lottery announced the big win on Thursday, saying it was the top prize in the $1,000,000 Payout game.
The winner, who has not been publicly identified, purchased the ticket from the Chardon Marathon at 380 Center Street.
“She chose the top prize’s $500,000 cash option payout and will receive approximately $360,000 after federal and state tax withholdings,” according to the Ohio Lottery.
The odds of winning that top prize? One in a million!
$1,000,000 Payout is a $10 scratch-off ticket that features a variety of prizes ranging from $1 million down to $10. The overall odds of winning something in the game are listed at 1 in 3.56.
