Winning Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket hits top prize worth $500,000: See where the lucky ticket was sold in Summit County

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — One lucky winner in Northeast Ohio has won the top prize of $500,000 in the Ohio Lottery scratch-off game Platinum Jackpot.

The Ohio Lottery says the winner purchased the ticket at Discount Drug Mart, which is located at 655 West Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.

"After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $360,000," according to the Ohio Lottery. 

The winner's name was not released.

Platinum Jackpot is a $10 scratch-off game. The Ohio Lottery says the following prizes are still remaining as of Tuesday, July 9: 

  • $500,000: 3 remaining 
  • $50,000: 8 remaining 
  • $10,000: 14 remaining 
  • $1,000: 39 remaining 
  • $500: 1,998 remaining 
  • $100: 43,504 remaining 
  • $50: 91,750 remaining 
  • $25: 119,929 remaining 
  • $20: 721,331 remaining

The overall odds of winning a prize in the Platinum Jackpot game are listed at 1 in 4.09.
