ORLANDO, Fla. — A man has been arrested in connection to the death of 23-year-old Joshua Emmanuel Owusu-Koramoah, the brother of Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.
Thirty-three-year-old Ronald Ivan Scott, of Hampton, Virginia, was charged with one count of murder and one count of arson. Scott was arrested in Orlando, Florida, and is in custody at the Orange County Jail.
The incident took place Tuesday morning in Hampton. Police and firefighters responded to a home in the 400 block of Lake Tower Drive and found Owusu-Koramoah dead inside, along with evidence of a fire.
Owusu-Koramoah was on the College of William & Mary's football roster from 2016-18. He and his younger brother Jeremiah were teammates at Hampton's Bethel High School, with the latter going on to play at Notre Dame before being drafted by Cleveland last year.
Sources confirmed to 3News that Joshua was, in fact, Jeremiah's brother. The Browns defender was hosting football camps in Ghana at the time of Joshua's death.
Police have not said what previous connections Scott may have had to Joshua Owusu-Koramoah. The incident remains under investigation.
