CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is at the scene of a shooting at an apartment building on the city's west side.
According to Cleveland EMS, two 17-year-old males were shot at the Brooklyner Bay apartments on Forestdale Avenue near Pearl Road around noon on Thursday.
Both of the teens were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. Initial reports say one of them was shot in the back and is in serious condition. The other teen was shot in the forearm and his injury is considered minor.
There is no word yet on any suspects.
3News' Neil Fischer spoke with Robert Eschelbacher, who said said his cousin was one of the victims of the shooting. “He pulled up, him and his friends and our other little cousin, and another car pulled up beside him and started shooting," Eschelbacher described.
“I just want this world to be better, especially in Cleveland," he added.
