Vanessa Bryant continues to keep the memory of her late husband, Kobe Bryant, alive.
On Wednesday, Vanessa posted a photo of the legendary NBA star on Instagram with the caption, “ My best friend.”
Just hours later, Vanessa again posted to Instagram a clip from ExtraTV that shows Kobe answering a series of questions including what he’s afraid of, what nicknames his daughters call him and who is his best friend? To which he responds his wife, Vanessa.
Kobe and Vanessa met in 1999 on the set of Kobe’s video during his short-lived rap career, according to People Magazine. The pair married in April of 2001.
Kobe and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in California on Sunday, January 26.
The widow of NBA star Kobe Bryant is working to keep his legacy alive in more ways than one.
In an Instagram post last week, she announced the creation of the "Mamba on Three" fund, which will go towards assisting the other families dealing with the same feelings of grief.
A description on the website reads:
The MambaOnThree Fund was created to honor Team Mamba’s mantra, “Mamba on Three.” It’s with that customary chant for togetherness, sisterhood and the ability to take on every challenge that this Fund was named.
The MambaOnThree Fund exists to honor and support loved ones of the seven other victims involved in the tragedy that occurred on January 26, 2020. All donations to the Fund will be directed to their families.
