CLEVELAND — Northeast Ohio teams in divisions I, II, III and VI punched regional final tickets on Friday night.
Mentor and St. Edward earned victories in Division I, Region 1 to set up a rematch from the first week of the regular season. The Cardinals routed Canton McKinley 34-13, while the Eagles handled Euclid 47-9.
Both teams are nationally ranked, with Mentor at 12-0 and St. Edward's only loss coming to the Cardinals by a single point.
The Archbishop Hoban Knights kept their quest for a fifth consecutive state championship alive by rallying in the second half to edge Mayfield, 21-17. Shane Hamm's touchdown pass to Kharion Davis with just 1:10 left proved to be the deicding factor.

In Division II, Region 6, 2 seed Avon Lake defeated 3 seed Wadsworth 31-21 on the strength of 17 unanswered points, setting up a rematch with archrival Avon next week. The unbeaten Eagles won the first matchup in a Week 1 thriller, 13-12.
In Division III, Region 9, the Chardon Hilltoppers blanked Streetsboro 35-0 to win their seventh game in a row and punch a ticket to the regional championship. James Pettyjohn had three touchdowns, and now unbeaten Aurora awaits Chardon next Friday.
