Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb has agreed to a bet with Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey based on the outcome of the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers' Thursday Night Football game.
The city officials decided to make the bet amongst each other via Twitter on Thursday morning.
Mayor Bibb was the first to come up with the idea, challenging Mayor Gainey to a bet containing Campbell's Sweets.
In a response to Mayor Bibb, Mayor Gainey agreed to the bet, saying he "can't wait" to see Bibb eating Pittsburgh Popcorn in a Steelers jersey.
All of Northeast Ohio will be paying attention to Thursday night's rivalry game. as it features the first of two meetings between these AFC North opponents.
The Cleveland Browns (1-1) are looking to get revenge after the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) won both of last year's contests in the 2021-22 NFL season.
As the teams head into Week 3 of the NFL season, the Browns, Steelers and Ravens are all tied for first place in the AFC North.
