CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Guardians have announced their roster ahead of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) against the New York Yankees.
The series is slated to begin tonight, Monday, Oct. 14, at 7:38 p.m. at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
The Guardians' roster includes one change from what Cleveland utilized during its five-game ALDS against the Detroit Tigers. The team has opted to leave off infielder Angel Martinez, who previously replaced Tyler Freeman on the roster after he was injured.
Heading into the best-of-seven series with the Yankees, the Guardians have added pitcher Pedro Avila.
