CLEVELAND — How do you feel now, Guardians fans?
Thanks to an extra-inning victory on Friday afternoon in the Bronx, Cleveland is coming back home with the American League Division Series against the Yankees all tied at one. Games 3 and 4 will take place at Progressive Field on Saturday and Sunday. Game 5, if necessary, will take place in New York on Monday.
3News' Bri Buckley and Neil Fischer ventured out to downtown restaurants to take in the excitement along with fans. At the Clevelander, we caught up with one of Guardians OF Steven Kwan's travel baseball coaches from when he was growing up in Fremont, California.
"He (Kwan) was a student of the game," Chuy Martinez told us. "He always learned the game. He asked questions. He worked harder than anyone else."
Martinez and his family are in town to support Kwan during the Guardians' playoff run. They plan to attend Saturday's Game 3.
"It's really exciting to see him. I'm really proud of him because he absolutely deserves this opportunity," Martinez added.
Roughly four hours after the game ended, the Guards arrived back an Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in preparation for the weekend. The Yankees landed at Burke Lakefront Airport a short time later.
