CLEVELAND — Megan Forshey, 16-year-old Westlake High School softball player, negotiated a sweet deal after catching Oscar Gonzalez's walk-off home run last Saturday.
One week later, Forshey cashed in.
The junior at Westlake High School returned the ball Gonzalez hit against the Tampa Bay Rays in the Wild Card Series.
In return, the Guardians gifted her with a Oscar Gonzalez jersey, a Jose Ramirez autographed bat, a few baseballs to collect signatures and tickets to Saturday's game against the Yankees.
"What's up, Oscar," Forshey said when Gonzalez finished his round of batting practice at Progressive Field.
Forshey had a brief conversation with Gonzalez before he stepped away to prepare for Game 3 of the ALDS.
Forshey, a softball player herself, simply put meeting Gonzalez, "it's pretty cool."
Forshey got a slew of autographs including signatures from Terry Francona, Sandy Alomar, Shane Bieber, and Jose Ramirez.
"I've been watching them play for a lot of years so I'm just glad I got to meet them," said Forshey.
Forshey told 3News that Gonzalez's home run was the first she's ever caught at a Guardians game.
"Thank you for coming and everything," said Guardians right fielder Oscar Gonzalez.
