CANTON, Ohio — Macedonia native Holly Groff had 19 points and Malone shot lights-out from all ends of the floor in an 82-59 win over Ursuline Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers (11-7, 7-5 G-MAC) never trailed once and made 58% of their attempts from the field, including 50% from 3-point range. Groff was 5 of 9 from beyond the arc while Marlington alum Robin Campbell added 16 points with a game-high five assists.
Cornerstone Christian Academy grad Madison Cloonan led Ursuline (8-9, 5-7) with 20 points and eight boards. Unfortunately, the Arrows shot only 34% from the field on their way to their third straight loss.
Ursuline will next travel to Tiffin Wednesday afternoon, while Malone will be at Kentucky Wesleyan Thursday evening.
