CLEVELAND — Update: Beckham returned to the game to start the second half with the Browns. No official injury was ever announced.
Odell Beckham Jr. started the Cleveland Browns' Week 7 matchup vs. the Denver Broncos. But he might not finish it.
Diving for a pass late in the second quarter, the Browns wide receiver landed on his right shoulder -- the same one that he hurt in Cleveland's Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals four days earlier. Despite reportedly suffering a Grade 3 sprained AC joint, Beckham still suited up to play against Denver, but has thus far failed to tally a reception while being targeted four times.
After diving for the incomplete pass, Beckham laid on the ground before heading to the Browns' medical tent. An update on his status has yet to be provided by the team.
Now in his third season with the Browns, Beckham has thus far endured an underwhelming start to his 2021 campaign. After missing the first two games of the season as he continued to recover from a torn ACL, the LSU product has thus far caught 14 passes for 203 yards and no touchdowns in five games.
Cleveland entered halftime vs. Denver laying claim to a 10-0 lead.
