CLEVELAND — With the kickoff to the 2022-23 NFL season right around the corner, the Cleveland Browns are continuing to iron out their final roster.
Talking to Twitter, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that the Cleveland Browns are signing veteran offensive lineman Joe Haeg, per a league source.
Haeg, the North Dakota State graduate, will join the Browns for his seventh season in the NFL.
"The #Browns are signing veteran OL Joe Haeg, source says. With RT Jack Conklin working his way back from knee surgery, Haeg provides depth at tackle and he can play guard, too. Haeg met with the #Raiders last week but heads to Cleveland instead," said Garafolo in his tweet.
29-year-old Haeg spent the 2021-22 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing in 12 games and starting in two. Haeg was released last week from the Steelers.
The 6-foot-6-inch tackle was drafted in 2016 by the Indianapolis Colts during the fifth round.
He spent four seasons with the Colts before a one-year stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to Garafolo, Haeg previously visited the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week, but ultimately will find a home in Northeast Ohio.
