Odell Beckham Jr. is fast.
That much, we already knew.
But just in case you needed some evidence, the 3-time Pro Bowl selection turned in an 89-yard touchdown catch that wasn't just a career long, but the fastest touchdown scored by any player through the first two weeks of the 2019 season.
According to Next Gen Stats, Beckham clocked in at 21.70 miles per hour on the 89-yard touchdown he scored in the third quarter of the Cleveland Browns' primetime matchup vs. the New York Jets on Monday. The touchdown, which marked the first of Beckham's Browns career, gave Cleveland a 23-3 lead.
As noted by former Browns kicker Phil Dawson, Beckham could have been clocked for speeding in a school zone based on his top speed.
In his return to MetLife Stadium, where he called home for the first five seasons of his career as a member of the New York Giants, Beckham totaled 6 receptions for 161 yards and 1 touchdown. What's more is that his 89-yard grab may not have even been his most impressive play of the night, as his 1-handed catch on a 33-yard reception helped set up Cleveland's first score of the night.
