BEREA, Ohio — NFL training camp signals the start of a new season, rife with hope and child-like optimism that the next six months might bring what many Cleveland Browns fans have searched for all of their lives. For two Browns super-fans, the mean of "searched for all of their lives" brings a different meaning this year.
Not a Super Bowl trophy, but an engagement ring and a lifetime commitment pledged in Berea during a training camp practice. Though I'm sure they would take the Lombardi Trophy
Rob Baranyi asked Tina Mendolera to marry him during Cleveland Browns training camp session. It was only fitting the question to be popped with Browns players and fans gathered to witness. It was their fandom that brought the two together, and forever changed their lives.
Baranyi told 3News, "We actually met three years ago on a Browns Backers group and she is a bigger Browns fan than I am. It's meant to be."
The couple travel from Youngstown every year to take in training camp and show their fandom with pride. Mendolera said she wasn't caught of guard that he proposed, but was expecting a different setting, albeit still with Browns fans there to witness, "I thought it was going to happen at a game but preseason? Hey we are going all the way this year!"
