TOKYO, Japan — Ohio’s own Duke Ragan has won a silver medal in the boxing ring at the Tokyo Olympics. It comes after he lost the finals matchup early Thursday morning EST against Albert Batyrgaziev of Russia in the men’s Featherweight Division finals.
Batyrgaziev beat Ragan by a decision of 3-2.
Ragan, a Cincinnati native, fought his way to the championship round after defeating Samuel Takyi of Ghana earlier this week by a 4-1 decision. Watch highlights of his victory HERE.
The finals mark Ragan's fifth fight in the Tokyo Olympics. Here are the results from all of his previous matchups:

- July 31: Ragan defeats Kurt Walker of Ireland 3-2 in the quarterfinals.
- Aug. 2: Ragan defeats Samuel Takyi of Ghana 4-1 in the semifinals
Fellow Ohio boxer, Oshae Jones of Toledo, finished her time in Tokyo with a bronze medal in the women's Welterweight Division after losing the semifinal fight to China's Gu Hong early Wednesday morning.
