2024 Paris Olympics | Berea bar to host watch party as Olmsted Falls native Katie Moon competes pole vault finals

The watch party in Berea will take place as Katie Moon looks to win back-to-back gold medals in pole vault. The event starts at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

BEREA, Ohio — As Ohio native Katie Moon of Olmsted Falls competes in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Northeast Ohio is set to cheer her on with a watch party in Berea.

Moon, the reigning pole vault gold medalist, is set to compete in the women's finals with a chance to capture back-to-back gold medals in the Summer Games.

The 33-year-old, who attended Ashland University, clinched a spot in the finals after advancing in Monday's qualifying round.

The Olympic watch party will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Suds Maguire's Bar & Grill in Berea, which is located at 1270 West Bagley Road.

Doors for the event will open at 11 a.m. with Moon set to compete at 12:15 p.m. ET.

The restaurant says that a limited food menu will be available for the watch party.
