CLEVELAND — With March being Problem Gambling Awareness Month, the Ohio Lottery is spreading the word about its resources to help make sure people are gambling responsibly.
Since I'm currently in the middle of a year-long experiment to see if pays to play the Powerball lottery, set against the backdrop of my new year's resolution to try to pay down student loan debt, it's the perfect time for both Ohio Lottery Director of Responsible Gambling Karen Russo and Problem Gambling Network of Ohio's Mike Buzzelli to be guests on the 3 Things to Know podcast.
Karen chats with me about resources available for those who need help with a gambling issue, and in a special bonus episode, Mike talks through warning signs and risky behaviors to watch out for, while both focus on how to "Keep It Fun" and make responsible choices.
Plus, I share what you Need to Know in NEO about a tool that helps calculate your total cost of gambling, and why the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio is A Good Follow on Facebook.
People in need of assistance or those with loved ones who may need help can contact the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-589-9966.
