I-90 West reopens in Euclid hours after deadly crash

Authorities say the roadway reopened around 2 a.m. Thursday.

EUCLID, Ohio — Authorities in Euclid say I-90 West has reopened after it was closed for hours overnight due to a deadly crash.

The closure began shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday night from the Route 2 split to East 222nd Street.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms one person was killed in the crash. The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Donald Ray Mills Thompson, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities announced the roadway reopened a few hours later around 2 a.m. Thursday.
