PENINSULA, Ohio — Monday’s winter storm has created havoc for many attempting to trek to work, but it has also created a winter wonderland for many winter sports enthusiasts.
Locally, skiing and snowboarding is an option, and if able to safely travel, Monday is a terrific day for it. A couple of options are available to those looking to have some fun on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Brandywine Ski Resort was already scheduled to be open on Monday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., but Boston Mills has also been added to the options for skiers and snowboarders alike. Boston Mills is set to be open at a limited capacity from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Here's what to expect from the limited operations at Boston Mills:
- Lifts: Conveyor (Summit), Lift 3 and Lift 5.
- Rentals and retail will not be available.
- Food and drink options will not be available, but their teams are working to add limited offerings.
- Snow Sports lessons are not available.
Boston Mills/Brandywine Ski Resorts are located at 7100 Riverview Road, Peninsula, Ohio.
Alpine Valley is scheduled to remain closed on Monday.
