NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Authorities conducted a water rescue early Wednesday morning after a man became stuck on the roof of his vehicle. It happened as heavy rain and thunderstorms swept through the region before sunrise.
North Olmsted police say the man was safely removed from the roof of his vehicle by the fire department around 7:10 a.m. Authorities say the vehicle became stuck in high water in the Metro Parks area of Valley Parkway and Cedar Point Road.

Earlier Wednesday, 3News also spotted a few vehicles that were stuck in flooded road conditions at Harvard and Jennings in Cleveland shortly after 8 a.m. Authorities said nobody was hurt in that incident.
The heavy rain had also triggered multiple flood alerts throughout Northeast Ohio -- including a flash flood warning in Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties. Hundreds of power outages were reported throughout the region as well with the biggest impact felt in Lorain County.
