CLEVELAND — Severe weather made its way through Northeast Ohio on Thursday evening, leaving plenty of damage in its path.
The Ohio Turnpike issued a travel advisory as the westbound lanes were closed in Sandusky County for nearly 24 hours due to downed power lines at mile post 94. At 7:55 p.m. on Friday, the lanes were reopened.
We received many photos and videos of storm damage from all over Northern Ohio.

There were several tornado warnings issued throughout Northern Ohio on Thursday night. In Lucas County, our TEGNA sister station WTOL noted that tornado damage occurred in Point Place and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, at Cedar Point, lightning struck the Top Thrill Dragster as the severe weather was making its way through Erie County. Thanks to Mark Porterfield for this video.
We have also seen many downed trees throughout the area. 3News' Neil Fischer captured this shot in Huron County.
Also in Huron County, Fischer observed damage to this home in Willard.
Out in Sandusky County, our Emma Henderson observed a barn destroyed in Vickery, with hail damage at the nearby house.

Beyond Thursday night, the 3News weather team says areas of rain and drizzle are possible mainly early Friday before skies partially clear out during the afternoon and evening. Highs will be comfortable in the 70s.
Looking ahead to Father's Day weekend, we look great! Lots of sunshine with high clouds from time to time can be expected. Highs will be seasonably in the 70s and low 80s.
