CLEVELAND — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) of Cleveland for parts of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, indicating that heavy rain, hail, wind and tornadoes are possible in the coming hours.
Erie, Lake and Huron counties are currently inside of the National Weather Service's projected weather path, with gusty winds and pockets of hail being likely to hit the locations over the coming hours.
This Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 1 a.m. Monday morning.
On Sunday afternoon, the NWS issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga and Geauga counties.
During the height of the storm, residents who live in the southeastern part of Cuyahoga County-- ranging from Mayfield Heights to Solon-- as well as residents of some southern Geauga County cities, experienced winds up to 60 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service of Cleveland.
The 3News weather team is still tracking inclement weather expected in several Northeast Ohio counties in the coming hours, and as of 6:15 p.m., the NWS has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for many Northeast Ohio locations.
