PENINSULA, Ohio — Skiers and snowboarders hoping to hit the slopes in Northeast Ohio will have to wait a few days.
Boston Mills-Brandwine-Alpine Valley Ski Resorts will be closed Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11 due to weather. The resorts plan to reopen Sunday.
Northeast Ohio can expect a warm weekend, as temperatures are projected in the mid-60s this Saturday. The heat wave shouldn't last long, with temperatures expected to dip late next week.
"We're excited for some colder temperatures," Public Relations Director Thomas Conti said. Conti added that temperatures need to be below 30 degrees for snowmaking.
