CLEVELAND — It’s probably a good idea to keep your devices charged as the National Weather Service in Cleveland says “a few power outages” are possible amid gusty winds throughout Northeast Ohio.
That’s why a Wind Advisory has been issued for the following counties until 1 p.m. today:
- Ashtabula
- Cuyahoga
- Erie
- Geauga
- Huron
- Lake
- Lorain
- Ottawa
- Richland
- Sandusky
- Seneca
A number of power outages have also been reported, according to FirstEnergy's outage map. Check the current outage numbers as of 11:30 a.m. in the list below:
- Cuyahoga: 1,631 power outages (down from 3,513)
- Lake: 1,030 power outages (down from 1,713)
The National Weather Service says winds of 20-30 mph are expected with gusts up to 50 mph possible.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” according to the National Weather Service. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”
Drivers are asked to use extra caution when driving -- especially those in a high-profile vehicle.
