CLEVELAND — After experiencing spring-like conditions with rain and mild temperatures earlier this week, we’re back to winter as another round of ice and snow made its way into Northeast Ohio.
That’s why the National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of Northeast Ohio until 9 a.m. Friday. Those weather alerts have since expired.
The icy weather also caused thousands of power outages early Friday along with dozens of school closings and delays throughout Northeast Ohio.
The system began with icy conditions before transitioning to snow into Friday morning.
“It’s definitely something that will make our Friday morning a bit tricky," Strano said.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use caution and allow for plenty of extra time before traveling on the roadways. The wintry weather will move out on Friday with temperatures expected to warm above freezing again next week.
