CLEVELAND — Late last year before she was ever nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Cher had expressed frustration that she wasn't already inducted.
“You know what? I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars. I’m not kidding you," Cher said on The Kelly Clarkson Show back in December as the two discussed her success throughout the decades.
She also said she would never change her mind about it.
“They can just go you-know-what themselves,” Cher told Clarkson. “Also, could I just say one other thing? I changed music forever with Believe.”
Two months later, Cher received her first-ever nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then in April, the Rock Hall revealed she was selected as an inductee with the class of 2024.
Now, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, Cher was asked if she would be there to accept her induction -- and she said yes.
“Yeah. I’m going to have some words to say," Cher told ET's Denny Directo. "I’m going to accept it as me.”
In addition to Cher, the class of 2024 includes Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Mary J. Blige, Peter Frampton and many more. You can see the full list HERE.
This year's induction ceremony will be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland on Saturday, Oct. 19.
