CLEVELAND — No matter the season, the time of day, or what you have on the day's planner, hot or cold, nothing gets your day started like a cup of joe. 3News Meteorologist Jason Mikell ventured to the west side to check out Edda Coffee on Cleveland's West 25th Street and Lorain Avenue.
Harbor Bay Vice President of Design & Development Dan Whalen tells Jason Mikell that this is a unique project in Ohio City fit for those looking to eat, drink, work, and take in locally-sourced food and beverage items.
"If you look at the amount of just shear traffic that goes by on a daily basis both vehicular, transit, and on foot, we thought this would be the best use here" Whalen says.
Boasting delicious menu items such as bowls, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and breakfast items, Jason had the pleasure of tasting the salmon poke bowl, Brooklyn avocado toast, and Venice avocado toast.
In a town that benefits greatly from shopping and curating locally, Edda Coffee sources its pastries from Luna Bakery and sells gluten free and vegan treats from Philomena. To top it all off, everything is compostable!
Whalen says later in the season plans are in the works for beer and wine items as well.
