Ready. Set. Ski!
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio are expanding the learning experiences for its kids.
On Monday, the organization announced that a new grant will help the clubs introduce kids who may otherwise not have access, to winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. The grant for the pilot program is provided by the Katz Amsterdam Foundation.
"The program prioritizes organizations that serve communities of color. This grant provides our Club kids with lessons, equipment, transportation and weekly ski trips," according to a press release about the program.
The lessons will be provided at Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts.
