“There’s a big opportunity around having this work be things that are done together, and not just dictated to children to get done on their own,” says Sugarman-Li. “Think, kids want to be with us. And this is as great an opportunity as any leisure activity for education and bonding, connection and learning.”
Sugarman-Li says it's important to play to your kids' strengths and to also show them that not all the household work should fall to mom!
Our producer put Sugarman-Li's method to the test. You can see how her kids responded by watching this week's episode of Mom Squad.
